Wanstalls was established by Ian Wanstall who is the Principal of Wanstalls Solicitors. We are based in Durham in the North East of England and are proud to help our clients locally and nationwide.

Ian has been a qualified solicitor for more than 20 years and throughout that time has only undertaken personal injury claims. For many years Ian was a partner and head of personal injury in a large city centre firm.

In setting up Wanstalls, Ian wanted to create a specialist firm dealing only with personal injury claims. This has enabled Ian to get back to the part of his job that he has always enjoyed most, dealing with clients and handling their claims.

Wanstalls also benefits from the presence of another very experienced solicitor, Mrs Evelyn Howson.  Evelyn has a very similar background to Ian, having worked together for many years in the personal injury department of the same city centre law firm.  Evelyn is a specialist personal injury solicitor who has been qualified for over 11 years and is on hand to provide help and advice to Wanstalls clients.

How are we different? In a word – Communication!

One of the most common complaints by those who use personal injury solicitors is that there is a lack of communication. This can either be the solicitor failing to keep their client updated on their claim or that the client cannot speak to the solicitor when they wish to.

At Wanstalls Solicitors we are different and recognise the importance of communication with our clients. When you are a client of Wanstalls you will have the direct dial number of the solicitor who is personally dealing with your claim. When you call us you won’t speak to a receptionist, secretary or junior member of staff but directly to the solicitor dealing with your claim who will be able to deal with any query you have straight away.

You will also decide how we communicate with you and whether you prefer to be contacted by telephone, email, text or by letter. Whatever your preferred means of communication we will keep you updated as your claim progresses.
